"PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE OVERVIEW"
As many of us have learned by now that proper diet and nourishment are essential to good health and a long life, yet, our problem is not only to try and inform people of the benefits of proper nourishment through consumption but to also save the land from exhaustion.
The Earth is burning with chemicals and this is mainly due to ignorance. It is time for everyone to demand that peace be given to the fields. We should, in our efforts to save mankind from malnutrition, consider a diet for the Earth itself.
Pollution is a problem of immense importance in the modern world. The natural environment has been, and is being, violated by industries or industrial processes and being submitted to dangerous influences and harmful substances. These things have a direct effect on our health, well-being and longevity. Even medicines, which are designed to be of benefit, often have extremely harmful side-effects.
Large industries are behaving like diabled ship captains who do not forsee that the journey will be long and that food should be given out sparingly. We have to think about the generations to come.
Eating should be orderly. Unfortunately, there are too many people who proceed to eat whatever presents itself. The levels of obesity in the United States alone are alarming throughout all the age and gender groups. Is it the amount of food being consumed; what is being done to it that causes such results or a combination of both?
Mankind is becoming markedly abmormal with all the chemicals and hormones they are subjected to, and with the prevalence of sexual and mental problems, yet, such aberrations do not seem to seriously disturb the general public. Although these distortions may be recogized in some degree by individuals, the governments do not seem greatly concerned about the situation otherwise they would have developed a health care program for the entire nation by now that would include incentives for preventative methods used by individuals and industries.
It is important to understand that all sicknesses arise from excess. In every case of sickness the quanity of eating should be reduced - first. Quality is, of course, absolute.
If our true desire is to become or remain healthy we must select the appropriate food accordingly. We must also become involved in choosing food with respect to one's condition, environment and needs. Our food is classified as 'preventative medicine' and should never be taken lightly - nor wasted.
Some things to remember when shopping: consider the climate, the method of cultivation, the length of the ripening period and the foods shape, size, color, aroma and taste.
Yes, our diet plays one of the most important roles in our overall condition. Our energy levels, strength, stamina, endurance, performance, psychological well-being or attitude are so intertwined that when we take advantage of these things on even the most minor of occasions we experience a variety of immediate negative results.
We must learn to heal ourselves; it is not only our right - it is our personal responsibilty. It is our duty to humanity to share and assist when ever we can to assure the health and well-being of all people.
